Skellerup’s modern packing solution for new dairy product facility

A long-standing partnership sees Dyno Conveyors equip Skellerup Industries' new Christchurch facility with an efficient conveyor system, supporting a modern packing process after 2011 earthquake damage.

THE CHALLENGE

Skellerup needed a new, efficient system for their post-quake facility.

When Skellerup Industries’ Woolston factory in Christchurch was damaged in the 2011 earthquake, they needed to outfit their new dairy product facility at Wigram Skies with a modern and economical packing process. Given their 20-year relationship, they turned to Dyno Conveyors for a solution that could accommodate varying materials within a new layout.

The Solution

Innovative conveyor design for tight spaces

Dyno developed a system featuring an unusually tight radius roller bend, powered by a high-efficiency 24-volt Dyno Drive. This design effectively managed the diverse materials Skellerup handles and seamlessly fed the new taping machine, optimising the flow within the new facility.

The Result

Efficient and reliable operation for a modern plant

The new conveyor system has provided Skellerup with an economical and modern packing process at their Wigram Skies facility.

The efficient Dyno Drive and the adaptable roller bend ensure reliable operation for their varying materials, supporting their production needs in the new site.

Customer testimonial

“From the concept stages, Dyno understood our complex requirements and worked through these to present a concept that not only made operational sense to our immediate requirements but offered scope for future expansion of this original design. I am very happy with the product and service Dyno provided and continues to provide on an on-going basis.”
