Foodstuffs automated carton flow with Dyno’s Zero Pressure system

To optimise operations within their extensive warehousing and dispatch complex, Foodstuffs Palmerston North implemented a state-of-the-art automated carton erector, with Dyno providing a Zero Pressure Conveyor System for efficient and reliable carton transport.

THE CHALLENGE

Finding the best method to transport erected cartons from the new machinery.

Foodstuffs Palmerston North sought to improve the speed and efficiency of their carton handling process within their large distribution centre. The introduction of an automated carton erector created the need for a seamless system to transport the formed cartons to the pick-up area, ready for packing high-volume, fast-moving goods.

The Solution

Zero Pressure conveyor for smooth carton flow

Dyno designed and installed a Zero Pressure Conveyor System, an ideal solution for this application. This system ensures a constant supply of erected cartons to the pick-up point, automatically replenishing the supply as cartons are removed. A key advantage of this technology is its ability to communicate with upstream machinery, maintaining a smooth and synchronised flow of operations. The system is powered by an energy-efficient and quiet 24-volt Dynodrive motor, contributing to a safer working environment.

The Result

Safe, quiet and efficient carton transport

The implementation of Dyno’s Zero Pressure Conveyor System has provided Foodstuffs Palmerston North with a safe, quiet, and highly efficient method for transporting erected cartons. The automated replenishment and upstream communication features ensure a continuous supply of cartons, optimising the packing process for high-volume goods within their warehousing and dispatch complex.
