EVENTS & TRADESHOWS
The Dyno team recently attended the South Island’s main technology trade show, SouthMACH 2017, held at Horncastle Arena in Christchurch. The event drew a large crowd, with an estimated 1,700 visitors. The team from Dyno interacted with many of them, shaking over 250 hands and distributing 300 bottles of water.
A major attraction at the Dyno stand was the trebuchet siege engine, a scaled-down version of the one designed by Leonardo da Vinci. Visitors entered a draw to win their own catapult. The trebuchet was also used in a challenge to see who could achieve the best distance. The top spot on the leader board went to Reuben Cornes, who launched a projectile 3.43 metres.
Winners of the prize draw were:
SouthMACH was also a chance for Dyno to showcase some of its products, including the Arhburg Gearboxes & Motors. These highly efficient and compact components received a lot of attention at the event, proving to be an ideal match for Dyno powered conveyors. Following the show, the Dyno team was kept busy with a number of follow-up enquiries about the gearboxes.
In addition to the products, the event offered a platform to launch Dyno Care and to gather feedback on the new company website. The team welcomed input from visitors on their experiences with both the website and the trade show. A retrospective video of the event was also made available for those who were unable to attend.
And remember, the Dyno team is always happy to answer questions.
